metal siding

early morning sun making the corrugated galvalume metal glimmer. love it! installation = SLOW (kinda like the metal roof). but, once it's in/on, it will last a long time with virtually no maintenance. it has high-recycled content value and it's 100% recyclable. what's not to love????

  1. Hi,

Great blog! I was curious how you fastened the corrugated metal siding to the furring strips. Does your fastener allow for expansion? Have you had any issues with the metal siding popping and/or moving when it gets heated or cooled?

Are you happy with the siding now, a few years later?

    Many thanks,
    SG

    • Thanks for your inquiry. The siding has held up surprisingly well – looks as good as the day it was installed four years ago! The metal panels are fastened to the strapping by concealed fasteners (self-tapping screws with integral rubber grommets). Expansion/contraction has not been an issue. Hope this helps!

c'mon, tell us what you're a thinkin'!
